Exactly 60 years ago, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) came to power after a bloody civil war and established the “People’s Republic” of China. The CCP was able to win the civil war because most Chinese people were disappointed with the legitimate Guomindang government, a corrupt and undemocratic regime, and the CCP made wonderful promises. Two of them were especially appealing: The first is the promise of land reform, made to the peasantry who made up more than 80% of the population. The second is the promise of democracy, made particularly to the better educated urban people. What happened to both of these promises?

Tailoring School Textbooks

CCP propaganda departments also control what is taught and what is not taught in Chinese schools. Political education singing praises of the CCP leadership is compulsory for every youngster, and a “must pass” subject for school leavers. After the Tiananmen massacre in 1989, paramount leader and long-time colleague of Mao, Deng Xiaoping concluded that the cause of the pro-democracy movement was that political education had been neglected.

In the months and years that followed, new textbooks were compiled that emphasize the glories of the CCP, omit inconvenient truths and whitewash the many so-called “errors” that the CCP had made. This so-called patriotic education extends beyond schools to include television, film, and the news media.

All this has serious consequences. Modern Chinese history is being re-written while participants and witnesses of events are still well alive. Many middle-aged people do not know just 50 years ago the worst famine in human history took place in China and claimed at least 36 million lives, still less do they know the Anti-Rightist campaign which inflicted over 20 years’ untold sufferings on half a million of the cream of the Chinese society.

Many young or not so young people in China today do not know what the Cultural Revolution was, and many young people do not know Tian’anmen massacre that took place in Beijing merely 20 years ago. Instead, thanks to the permeating propaganda, many people in China believe in the infallibility of the CCP and its exclusive and almost divine-given right to rule.

You are our representatives, “represent” us!. Advocate for the positions “we” take on matters of national importance. Don’t try try to “sell” us. We know what we want. We know what the Constitution says and what it means. Cut the crap, do your job according to our wishes or start putting out resumes. Fido doesn’t need Food Stamps, to put it simply, if you can’t afford a pet….. don’t get one! But regular people know this, so I’m asking the people, don’t fall for the trick, don’t look to the government to “make your day”. I’m sure Micheal Vick is excited about the idea of tax breaks for K9 healthcare (retroactive). Of coarse if you refuse to take the money you might be charged with animal cruelty. From every angel the net draws tighter.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger has signed a bevy of bills into law, including one that will require ammunition sellers to collect and keep information from all buyers, including a thumbprint, signature and driver’s license data.

Internet and mail-order sales will be eliminated, because sales must happen in person. Read the bill here.

The governor’s signature reverses his earlier position.

“Although I have previously vetoed legislation similar to this measure, local governments have demonstrated that requiring ammunition vendors to keep records on ammunition sales improves public safety,” Schwarzenegger said in a statement.

The head of Gun Owners of California said the law, which takes effect in 2011, will treat gun owners “like registered sex offenders,” the Los Angeles Times writes.

“We think it was a devastating mistake,” said Sam Paredes, executive director of the group, which represents 30,000 gun owners. In a separate statement, the group elaborates.

My Opinion, the purpose here, besides money for them, is to have the ability to know who has a gun, what kind of gun, and where they live. Since criminals obviously won’t comply with this law, the purpose is to keep tabs on the average citizen. Why the citizen and not the crook? The Government fears the armed average citizen. As long as the average honest person is armed they have the power to invoke their vision of “change”. Crooks aren’t being pushed by the government, to the breaking point, the way “Joe Six Pack” is being pushed. Crooks by their nature do not care, the average person does. An armed citizenry that cares about freedom and liberty is a dangerous thing to those who wish to wrest control for themselves alone to have.

With this, I think they just answered the question as to whether there is a link between pornography (objectification of women and men, but especially women) and abortion (murder of the most innocent). Both are evil and both are heavily connected to one another.”

Of course, our friend is correct, but the tangled web of grime and sludge, Planned Parenthood’s stock in trade, goes quite a bit deeper than that. Let’s start with the announcement of the event that was held in the Museum of Sex.

I looked at the announcement from last year’s sold-out soiree, which is included in the organization’s 2008 annual report. Since this is the second year for the event, it was apparently worth repeating. And for New York City, it had all the right elements: a bar that stayed open all night, after-hours access to the exhibits, raffle prizes and live DJs.

A regular party, Planned Parenthood style, complete with all the hoopla one would expect from an organization steeped in sleaze.

But upon further examination of its Web site, I found out that this month, Planned Parenthood of New York City is hosting a far more egregious — and, I might suggest, deadly — activity. It is pursuing a project labeled “We’re Going To The Principal’s Office Because Real Sex Ed = Healthy Futures.”

Now that, my friends, will have a far more serious effect on the minds, hearts and souls of children than any event in a sex museum. We know the reasons why, but in case we have forgotten, let’s take a refresher course on Planned Parenthood philosophy.

MEXICO CITY — An unprecedented wave of anarchist bombings here and in provincial capitals has Mexican security forces on red alert.

Beginning September 1st, bombs have gone off once or twice a week regularly as clockwork, taking out windows and ATMs at five banks, and torching two auto showrooms and several U.S. fast-food franchises and an upscale boutique in the chic Polanco district of this conflictive capital. In each case, the Anarchist “A” has been spray-painted on nearby walls along with slogans supporting animal liberation demands to stop prison construction, and calls for the demise of capitalism.

Despite the lack of lethal intent, the bombings have riveted the attentions of numerous security forces, particularly the CISEN, Mexico’s lead intelligence agency which is reportedly spread thin trying to keep tabs on plans by clandestine guerrilla bands ranging from the Zapatistas to the EPR to foment armed uprising during the 100th birthday party of the Mexican revolution to which all Mexicans, regardless of ideological persuasion, have been invited.

Before we go anywhere, with the Nobel Peace Prize, I think something should be said in defence of Neville Chamberlain.

Chamberlain has received a bad press, these last 70 years, though famously it was a good press after he signed the Munich agreement 71 years ago with Adolf Hitler, and flew home to England promising, “Peace in our time.” Let us grant, the result of his policy of appeasement was not what he intended; and let us allow, that Hitler negotiated in bad faith.

(Historical aside: Chamberlain flew home to the Heston aerodrome, not Croydon as often misremembered. And he waved his little agreement, signed by the Fuhrer and himself — and worth considerably more than the paper it was written on, should it ever come up for auction at Christie’s — not upon disembarking, but a little later, outside 10 Downing Street.)

Alas, Chamberlain — child of an illustrious Liberal political family, a dynasty that made Birmingham proud — who for one gleaming

moment in an otherwise non-illustrious political career, became the pulsating superstar of statesmanship, all the world round — proved an unlucky man.

He was not nearly so stupid as history has painted him; indeed, he could probably have matched Barack Obama in IQ. He was perfectly aware that Hitler was “nuts,” as we say in the colloquial, just as I’m sure Obama today is aware that Mahmoud Ahmadinejad of Iran is playing with too many missiles and not enough sense.

.

It is also perhaps worth exculpating Alfred Nobel, for the farce his peace prize has become. The man took various precautions in his will to make sure it would not becheaply politicized, and specifically that it would never be used as a means to influence current events. It was to be a retrospective award, for specific accomplishments universally acknowledged, and thus the opposite of a partisan statement. But Nobel’s will was written in 1895, by the brilliant entrepreneur who converted a failing iron and steel mill into an extremely successful munitions factory. And as students of philanthropy should know, “good intentions” generally go the way of the Munich agreement.

In this case, I don’t think a fix was in. There is broad speculation, among the sort of people I hang out with, that it was offered to Obama on the understanding that he would “do a Le Duc Tho,” and decline it, thus showing the world his immense strength of character. (But how can such a narcissist pass up the opportunity to give a Nobel Prize speech?)

Instead, I think the intention of the prize, for which nominations closed on Feb. 1 — less than a fortnight after Obama took office — is in fact designed as an essay in pre-emption. The left-wing, pacifist committee wanted to saddle the new U.S. president with their little “hope diamond,” in case he got any ideas about killing more jihadis in Afghanistan. Or hesitated to do to Israel what Neville Chamberlain did to Czechoslovakia

read the full piece at: www.ottawacitizen.com/Chamberlain+should+have/2089543/story.html

BUFFALO, N.Y. — A man accused of beheading his wife at the television station they founded to counter stereotypes of Muslims is likely to claim emotional distress was behind the killing in hopes of avoiding a murder conviction.

Muzzammil Hassan, 45, is scheduled to be tried in January on a charge of second-degree murder in the death of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan. A psychiatric defense would allow jurors to find him guilty of a lesser charge of manslaughter, according to Hassan’s attorney, who made his plans known during a pretrial conference Friday.

“Extreme emotional disturbance is not an insanity defense,” attorney James Harrington said afterward. “It’s related to the state of mind of the person at the time.”

Muzzammil Hassan had been served with divorce papers a week before his wife’s body was found stabbed and decapitated at the offices of Bridges TV in the Buffalo suburb of Orchard Park, where the couple also lived. Hassan was arrested after walking into the Orchard Park police station Feb. 12 and telling officers his wife was dead.

Assistant District Attorney Colleen Curtin Gable has said the prosecution’s case would be built on alleged admissions, forensic evidence and “strong motive evidence.”

On Friday, she asked Erie County Judge Thomas Franczyk to bar the defense from introducing psychiatric evidence, saying Harrington had taken months longer than he should have to reveal his trial strategy.

Obama’s Nobel Prize will Exacerbate His Narcissistic Tendencies

Sam Vaknin, Ph.D.

Within a single year, Barrack Obama had been elected to the Presidency of the United States and had won the Nobel Peace Prize. While the merits of the first achievement are debatable, there is a consensus, even among his most ardent supporters, fans, and acolytes that he absolutely does not deserve the second honor.

What happens to a narcissist (Obama) whose grandiose delusions suddenly come true? What are the psychological effects on a narcissist when his fantasies of success and perfection materialize, even though his real-life accomplishments do not warrant such a turn of events and are wildly incommensurate with the adulatory feedback he keeps getting?

I. The Narcissist’s Delusions of Grandeur

A delusion is “a false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everyone else believes and despite what constitutes incontrovertible and obvious proof or evidence to the contrary”. Delusion is, therefore, a belief, idea, or conviction firmly held despite abundant information to the contrary. The partial or complete loss of reality test is the first indication of a psychotic state or episode. Beliefs, ideas, or convictions shared by other people, members of the same collective, are not, strictly speaking, delusions, although they may be hallmarks of shared psychosis.

There are many types of delusions. The narcissist typically holds grandiose-magical convictions that he is important, omnipotent, omniscient, irresistibly charming, brilliant, perfect, possessed of occult powers, deserving of special treatment (entitlement), or a historic figure of cosmic-messianic significance.

keep on reading, it explains a lot: globalpolitician.com/25937-obama-nobel-narcissism-hubris

Obama Hits Jackpot With Nobel Prize

editorial by: RichardKP at PoliticalVentilation.com

Many wonder how this could possible have happened. I think this explains everything very well…..

Need I Say More?

The Prize brings with it a 1.4 million dollar check, which is about what the travel expenses for the President, entourage and security will be after all is said and done. But wait, Obama said he’ll give the money to charity, so the taxpayer will pay the price for his glory. But ACORN sighs in relief .

They also appeared on “The Late Show with Craig Ferguson” and performed the second single from “God and Guns,” “Simple Life.”

The first single off the album, “Still Unbroken,” was released in July and was the theme song for WWE’s “Breaking Point” pay-per-view event on September 13.

“God and Guns” is Lynyrd Skynyrd’s first studio album in six years, their 12th studio album overall. After doing two successful tours with Kid Rock and introducing themselves to a younger audience, Lynyrd Skynyrd went back into the studio earlier this year with guitarist John 5 (Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie) to create some new material. The result was “God and Guns,” a country/southern hard rocker that unapologetically states Lynyrd Skynyrd’s traditional southern stance.

But as traditional as they might be, the boys from Jacksonville weren’t afraid to take in a little modern rock infusion. John 5 helped write a few songs and played guitar on the album. Rob Zombie chimed in with some vocals on “Floyd.” Amazingly enough, the album still came out southern, country-blues-ish, and kick-ass.
